The program, initiated in 2012 by Dr. Roger Perlmutter, Executive Vice
President of Merck Research Labs, is intended to sponsor the continued academic
development of exceptional young scientists from top academic institutions.
The values to the successful Post-Doctoral candidate are many, including:

The program is 3 years in tenure with an annual review for contract renewal.
The Parenteral Product Development group, located in West Point PA, has been
awarded the opportunity to sponsor a Post-Doctoral Researcher. In this
laboratory role, the researcher will work with highly cross-functional team to
support the design and development of modified release non-oral formulations of
small molecule or peptide pharmaceuticals, with a focus on biodegradable
polymeric formulations (nano-/micro-particles and implants).
