2015 GT Student Day at the Capitol: Tuesday, January 13th

On Tuesday, January 13, the Student Government Association, in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Relations, will host its annual Georgia Tech Student Day at the Capitol and is inviting all students to join.  At this event, students will learn more about what happens under the gold dome and can thank state leaders for their commitment to higher education.

Students who attend will have the opportunity to:
·         Interact with elected officials and senior staff members
·         Thank legislators for their support
·         Take a tour of the Capitol and witness legislature session
·         Participate in a group photo with Georgia Tech leadership and legislators
·         Show that decisions affecting Georgia Tech matter to students

Further details:
·         Those interested can register online to attend by December 19; space is limited. 
·         Register online
·         Students are asked to dress in business attire.
·         Class excuses will be issued from the Registrar for students attending the event missing class that morning. 
·         Transportation will be provided from the Student Center Transit Hub, leaving at 8:30AM. Students will return to campus in time for noon classes.
·         Students from all majors are encouraged to attend, as our lawmakers will be making decisions over the subsequent weeks that will impact all Georgia Tech students.
